MEDICATION & HEALTH

Parents must submit a completed physical for their child within the first 30 days of enrollment.

The physical must include diet restrictions, allergies, previous health problems, shot records, and a statement that the child is free from communicable diseases.

Infants and toddlers are required to have a signed Feeding Plan Form.

Physicals must be completed annually for Infants, Toddlers, and 2’s.
HEALTHY SNACKS
Children, especially infants and toddlers, burn energy from food exceptionally quickly. Healthy snacking between meals is essential in replenishing their growing bodies with the proper nutrients and hydration they need to be attentive, productive, and active. Little Explorers serves snacks 2-3 times per day depending on the child’s age group. There are no additional charges for meals and snacks.
NUT ALLERGIES
Little Explorers is a peanut free child care facility. We are a nut-free zones (yes, all nuts) for the safety and consideration of children with peanut and tree nut allergies.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH & DINNER
Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are prepared in accordance with strict nutritional guidelines approved by the State Board of Health and meet all Recommended Daily Allowances.

Promoting excellence in child nutrition.
There are four cycle menus. Each cycle features a four-week menu with a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and meats and meat alternates. Each menu is designed for easy customization to meet overall needs regardless of location or the availability of certain food items. Each menu also features a variety of USDA standardized recipes for child care centers.
