Fun & Creativity

The children at our learning center are exposed to a series of arranged subjects and activities designed for their particular learning level. Science, Discovery and Exploration, Fine motor skills, Gross motor skills, Art, Dramatic Play and Social Skills. The daily curriculum incorporates a variety of activities catered to both individual and group learning. Indoor and outdoor play, quiet and active lessons, large and small muscle movements, and child and adult-initiated activities deliver a well-rounded learning experience.
Art
The art curriculum is designed to promote a positive self-image, sensory awareness, growing independence and an eagerness to learn. Children are encouraged to manipulate and create with a variety of materials and engage in a variety of art making processes. Social interaction and communication skills are particularly important to the preschool students’ verbal and visual expressions of ideas and feelings.
Music
Little Explorers uses music as the vehicle for early language and literacy development, we know that early childhood music classes are tied to improvements in young children’s early language development, increased vocabulary acquisition, and a greater phonological awareness.
Movement
Children are motivated to be more independent by presenting to them a wide range of exercises that promote self-help skills. In accomplishing a certain exercise, the child will be able to apply concentration, cognitive order, motor skills as well as a boost of confidence.
Language
Little Explorers are focused in developing both the Receptive Language and Expressive Language of children. This includes the use of a phonetic approach in preparation for linking sounds and letters. Tools such as movable alphabets, pictures, and objects are accessible to help prepare the child for both oral and written language.
Mathematics
Children easily absorb concepts on numbers, symbols, digits, operations, and basic mathematical facts through the use of manipulative toys. The Basis -ten system of organizing numbers is presented to children in a progressive manner to allow them to fully grasp fundamental specialized skills in Math.
Outside Play
Little Explorers encourages physical activity throughout each day that helps children meet age-level physical activity recommendations. It includes adult-led and child-led physical activity, and outside play. Our facility provides a wide array of outdoor climbing sets and toys to explore.
